spring will come

this triptych is less about an actual dream and more about dreaming.  like so many people, i have a difficult time getting through the dark and cold days of winter-although i do appreciate the flat light it brings.  with this painting i wanted to capture the feelings of hope i have about the coming spring.  i have been lucky enough to greet 45 springs and i am always surprised at how powerfully they regenerate and lift my spirits.

  1. This is a post I needed this morning. I am having my 3rd cold this winter and I feel a bit grouchy about it. I love the painting and the thought.

  4. Yes, so very lovely. I would love to see these in person.... This morning I awoke to a soft fog that was so dense, I literally couldn't get my bearings for a moment...even while only gazing through the window.

  5. fog is very beautiful but also disconcerting...last night, due to the sudden drop in temps, our windows completely fogged over, as i usually fall asleep looking at a particular lamp post that was not visible through all the mist, i had the strange sensation of being in a different bedroom last night. thank you so much, gloria, for your kind words:)
